Allen Jackson Lanter, Sr., age 69 of Pulaski passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at his home.

Born January 19, 1942 in Montcalm, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Emmett William Lanter and Tilda Dunford Lanter. He was also preceded in death by one brother, Malcolm Jeffrey Lanter.

He was a past employee of Volvo Trucks, Dublin with 8 and ½ years of service. He had also been a meatcutter for the former Hurst Grocery.

Surviving-
Wife of 14 years-Michele Ellen Yuhas Lanter-Pulaski.

Daughter and son-in-law-
Elizabeth and Dallard Yates-Radford.

William Charles Lanter- Pulaski,
Allen Jackson Lanter, Jr.-Pulaski,

Two grandchildren-
Nina May Cartrette-Radford,
Danielle Nicole Dice- Dublin.

One Great Grandson- John Matthew Elliott-Radford.

He is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held Saturday 1:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Harry Gunter and Rev. Terry Patterson officiating.

Inurnment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until the hour of service.
