Anne Russell Morgan Montgomery passed away Saturday, March 19, 2011 in Annapolis, Maryland.
Born December 10, 1914 in Bedford County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Charles Brown Morgan and Lalla Goodrich Moseley Morgan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Carl (J.C.) Montgomery, a brother, William Morgan and a sister, Helen Morgan Everett.
She was a graduate of William and Mary and VPI, trained as a nurse at Stuart Circle Hospital in Richmond, VA and was a member of the Kappa Delta Pi. When first coming to Pulaski in the late 1930's, she worked for the health department as a registered nurse. Upon receiving her degree in education from VPI, she taught at Central Elementary School in Pulaski. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Pulaski.

A Graveside service will be held Tuesday 2:00 p.m., March 22, 2011 in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with the Rev. Dr. Olin Whitener and a nephew, the Rev. Robert Montgomery officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked donations be sent to the Presbyterian Children's Home, P.O. Box 545, Wytheville, VA. 24382.
