Barbara Jean Dishon Giles, 72, of Draper, Virginia passed away on April 6, 2016.

The Memorial Service will be held at Memorial Christian Church on Burleigh Horton Road, Draper, Virginia, Sunday, April 10 at 2:00 P.M. Pastor, Robert "Bobby" Osborne will be officiating.

Barbara is survived by husband of 56 years, Hansford W. Giles, and her very special dog "Buddy". Son and wife, Laymon Edgar "Eddie" and Karen A. Giles. Son and grandsons, Anthony Wayne "Tony" Giles, Marcus A. Giles and Curtis W. Giles. Daughter, Lorri Ann Arnold, grandson, Gary Lane Arnold, granddaughter, Amy Lorene Arnold. Brother and wife, Laymon E. "Woody" and Trish Dishon, Sister, Hilda D. Bower, Sister and husband, Vickie D. and Gene Huff. Aunt, Marie D. Hedge, other family and friends.

Barbara is preceded in death by parents Layman Archie and Amy Dotte Phillips Dishon and sister Ruby Anita Dishon Ratcliff. Barbara worked for many years at Virginia Maid and Renfro until closure. She was an "avid" Pittsburgh Steelers Fan.


Burial will be a "private family" ceremony at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Bower Funeral Home-Pulaski.
