Betty Jean Richards nee Pennington, age 66 of Powhatan, Virginia passed away Tuesday, October 6, 2026 at her home with her husband by her side.

Born April 8, 1960 in Portsmouth, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Frank Robert Pennington, Jr. & Wilda Gay Dean Pennington. Her brother Frank R. Pennington III also preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 12, 2026 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor John Kellam officiating. Interment will be 11:00 AM – Wednesday, October 14, 2026 at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
