Burnis Marie Trail, age 78 of Roanoke passed away Saturday, August 2, 2014 at her home.
Born March 28, 1936 in Sylvatus, she was the daughter of the late Sydney Lee Henley and Lula Mae Kemp Henley. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Delmas Jabe Trail in 2011; a grandson, Brandon Saliba, and three brothers, Sherman Henley, Walter Ray Henley and Raymond Henley.
Mrs. Trail was raised in Sylvatus, Virginia and graduated from the American School in 1959.
She worked at Maid Bess Corporation in Salem. Then later she attended the Joseph Beauty School and became a licensed cosmetologist and later became a teacher and cosmetologist for the school. She retired from Kroger with 13 years of service. She worked hard all her life and was very active in her church activities. She was forever making crafts, afghans, and quilts. She will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

Brother- Alvin Henley-Allisonia.
Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be Friday 2:00 p.m., August 8, 2014 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. James Torrence officiating.
Interment will follow at the Dishon Cemetery, Snowville.
Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
