Charlie William Kanode, age 83 of Pulaski passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 in the Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Born June 14, 1926 in Pulaski he was the son of the late Lands & Anna Belle Asper Kanode. His beloved wife of 60 years; Virginia "Jenny" Turner Kanode and three brothers; Johnny, Jackie and Harry Kanode also preceded him in death.
He was a retired part owner of the New River Valley Home Improvement Corporation, Pulaski.

He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II, where he received the Purple Heart.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Pastor Randall Lawrence officiating.

Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with full military rites conducted at the graveside by the Pulaski VFW Post 1184.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
