Donald Melvin Whitaker , age 61 of Dublin passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2023 in the Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born June 15, 1961 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Donald Elwood Whitaker and Lora Darlene Stuart Whitaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Hazel Cook Stuart and grandfather, Melvin Dill Stuart and grandparents, Charles Francis Whitaker and Ollie Rhea Turner Whitaker.

Throughout the years, Melvin did a lot of volunteer work within his community. He had a love for music and played music by ear. He was such a comedian and could make anyone laugh.

Funeral Services will be held Monday 2:00 p.m., June 5, 2023 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel. Pulaski with Pastor Gladys Arnold and Pastor Barbara Mayberry officiating. Interment will follow in the Ray Cemetery, Brookmont Road, Pulaski County.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 pm until time of service at 2:00 pm at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sending donations toward funeral expenses to Bower Funeral Home.
