Douglas Hubert "Doug" Williams, age 83 was blessed on Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012 when God called his name and he entered into the heavenly gates.
John 11:25 "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die".
Doug was born June 8, 1928 in Pulaski, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents; Cleo & Lula Williams, sister; Betty Sue Kanode and precious son; Douglas "Rabbitt" Williams.
He was an Army Veteran and served his country during the Korean Conflict and was a carpenter by trade. He was happiest when he had a fishing pole in his hand surrounded by his family.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory until they meet again-

Dorothy Fitzgerald Williams (with whom he shared his entire life)-Pulaski.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Rev. Dale Akers officiating.
Interment will follow at the Hufford Cemetery, Pulaski where the Pulaski V.F.W. Post #1184 will conduct military honors.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Bower Funeral Home.

Special thanks from the family goes to Lewis-Gale Hospital (Pulaski), ICU nurses and respiratory staff, Dr. Yoder for his kindness and compassion and for not giving up and finally Dr. Chan and Jeannie for being a "Special Doctor" to "Papa Bear" for almost 20 years. It has meant a lot to our dad and to us.
