Obituary

Elizabeth Wimbrow Shockley, age 95 of Pulaski and formerly of Salisbury, Maryland departed this life and was taken to her heavenly home, Friday, January 18, 2013.

Born April 8, 1917 in Parksley, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Godfrey Wimbrow and Elizabeth Dennis Wimbrow. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Everett Thomas Shockley; two sons, Everett Richard Shockley, and Robert Wimbrow Shockley; one sister, Jean W. Scarborough and one brother, John Paul Wimbrow.

She had been a resident of Salisbury, MD. until 1996 where she and her husband were involved in the canning industry most of their lives. She was retired from the State of Maryland after being a housewife while raising their children.

Mrs. Shockley was always positive and always had a smile on her face and greeted everyone warmly. Those who knew her admired her spirit and loved her warmth.

The family wishes to thank her caregivers Kay Doyle, Lois Hubbard, Dreama Hoback, June Blake and Roberta Rollyson for their care and devotion provided in recent years, making it possible for her to be comfortable and remain at her home until her death.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11:00 AM, January 21, 2013 at the Pulaski Church of God (Refreshing Center), Bob White Blvd., Pulaski with Pastor Jerry Collins officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. January 20, 2013 at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday 1:00 p.m. at Parsons Cemetery, Salisbury, MD. Visitation will be from 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. at Bounds Funeral Home,
