Ellis Perry Yates , age 81 of Pulaski passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home.

Born April 4, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan he was the son of the late Conley Ellis Yates & Lucille Dye Yates. His wife, Lillian Marie Yates, brother, Orville Coleman and sister Dorothy Marie Hicks also preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, 2:00 p.m. October 3, 2018 .  at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Carson Linkous officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery, Dublin.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m . until service time at the funeral home.
