Ersie Jennings Morris, age 103 of 5265 Wilderness Road, Newbern passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at Heritage Hall in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Born March 3, 1907 in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Currell and Dosca Newman Jennings. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Hugh
G. Morris, sisters; Stella Jennings, Ruth J. Cruff, Zelma J. Southern, and Lula J. Morris; brothers, Troy Jennings and Creed Jennings and a son-in-law,
Hensel Mabry.

Mrs. Morris was a long time employee of Paul Knitting Mills and Business Opportunities for the Blind at Radford Hospital and White Motors.
She was a charter member of Newbern United Methodist Church.

She is survived by-

Ten Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, March 5, 2011 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Paul Goshorn officiating. Interment will follow at Newbern Cemetery.

Family visitation will be Friday, March 4, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Bower Funeral Home.
