Ewell Jackson "Smiling Jack" Akers, age 93 of Dublin passed away Wednesday morning January 13, 2021 at his home. Born October 4, 1927 in West Virginia he was the son of the late Arthur "Swifty" Akers and Lourie Semones Akers. His wife of 70 years, Violet Madeline Akers (2018), three sisters and nine brothers also preceded him in death. Jack was owner/operator of Akers Garage since 1965 and a veteran of the United States Army during WW II.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM – Monday, January 18, 2021 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Randall Lawrence and Pastor Larry Meadors officiating. Entombment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens-Mausoleum, Dublin.
