Obituary

Florence B. Cain Lambert

Florence was born to George W. and Lula Hodge Burnette on 24 October 1920 in Fort Gay, Kentucky.
She was little sister, "Sissy" to brother George W. Burnette, Jr.

She married Homer Lee Cain in Galax, Virginia and together they had two daughters, Frances Elizabeth and Shirley Lee Cain. They shared 34 years of marriage before his sudden death.

The Pulaski Church of God was her home church and she was a long- time member. She was, in fact, the oldest living member at the time of her death. She had in past years assisted in the nursery and made home/hospital visits with her Sunday School Class. She called out prayers and sang songs of praise up to her final hour here. Florence was so loved by her family and was always there for them. She was always full of love and laughter, willing and eager to put others first. She loved her family dearly and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, friend and precious Child of God.

Florence worked locally at Paul's Knitting Mill and Virginia Maid Hosiery until her retirement. Shortly thereafter, she met and married Navy Cecil Lambert. They enjoyed their retirement years together attending church, gardening and traveling.

Family members preceding her in death are her parents, George W. & Lula H. Burnette, brother, George, Jr., husbands, Homer Lee Cain and Navy Cecil Lambert and her oldest daughter, Frances Elizabeth Cain Ratcliffe. She was greeted by these loved ones when she arrived in Heaven on 19 July 2018.

Those left to cherish her precious life and memories are daughter, Shirley Cain Morefield, son-in-law, Stanley Ingles Morefield, grandson, Jeffrey Lee (Sonya) Morefield, granddaughter, Denise "Dee" Ratcliffe, great-granddaughter, Sabrina Anderson, great-grandsons, William (Natasha) Radcliff and David Radcliff, great-great granddaughters, Madison, Caitlin and Averie Radcliff, Makayla and Haylie Anderson and great-great grandson, Collin Radcliff.
