Obituary

Frances Dawn Landreth Deel was born June 6, 1940 in Pulaski, VA. The daughter of Alvin and Josephine Landreth,
she grew up on the banks of New River in Allisonia, where she dreamed of meeting a wonderful man with whom she
could share life, raise a family, and travel the world. In the spring of 1958, her dream became reality when Cecil Deel,
an itinerate evangelist from West Virginia came to the Allisonia Church of God to preach a revival. Six weeks after meeting,
on her nineteenth birthday, Cecil and Dawn were married, and the journey began.

Sixty years later, on May 15, 2019 in Knoxville, TN, Dawn Deel concluded her dream on this earth. She leaves a powerful
legacy of love, service, worship, benevolence, and simple beauty.
Along with husband, Cecil, who passed away May 14, 2017,
she gave her life to God and his
church, pastoring churches in Virginia and Colorado, and traveling the world to give away the

message of God's love. As well, they raised a beautiful family that carries on the tradition of working to bless people and make
the world a better place, and who will pass on the heritage to
the next generation. The impact of her life can only be measured
in eternity for there is no way
to know how many lives were touched here on earth.

Dawn Deel leaves behind three sons - Bruce Deel (Rhonda), Jeff Deel (Tracy), Keith Deel (Letha), one daughter
- April Underwood (Keith), nineteen grandchildren, four great
grandchildren (and two on the way), four sisters - Joyce Doyle,
Sue Burgess, Gayle Gilbert, and
Twila White, and one brother - Ronnie Landreth, as well as a large, wonderful extended
family
and a multitude of friends.

A celebration for the life of Dawn Deel will take place Monday, May 20, at the Pulaski Church of God in Pulaski, VA,
with visitation at 11 a.m., followed by service at noon and interment at
Highland Memorial Gardens in Dublin.
Arrangements are being handled by Mynatt Funeral
Home in Knoxville and Bowers Funeral Home in Pulaski.
