Geneva Akers Rooney, age 80 of Pulaski and formerly of Allisonia passed away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.
Born December 28, 1927 in West Virginia she was the daughter of the late Millard Harvey Akers and Flora Lena Clark Akers.

She is survived by-

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Bobby Osbourne officiating.

Interment will follow at the Allison Family Cemetery, Allisonia. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski. The family will also be receiving friends at the home of Mark & Susan Rooney, 104 7th Street N.W. , Pulaski.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be sent to the Pulaski County Humane Society.
