Gordon Ray "Gordie" Gillie, age 65 of Dublin passed away peacefully Thursday, January 3, 2019 with his family by his side.
Born December 17, 1953 to the late Barbara and Kennison Gillie he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Gillie and step-daughter, Dana Rupe.
Gordon was a veteran of the United States Navy serving four years for his country.
He loved his Hokies and his Redskins. He loved life to the fullest and loved his friends at Volvo where he was employed for 36 years and his friends at Lake Ridge RV Resort where he loved spending his spare time.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Monday, January 7, 2019 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Minister Steve Morris. 
Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery-Dublin. 

The family will receive friends between 4:00-6:00 PM – Sunday at the Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Gordon's memory be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
