Hazel Beatrice Pike Wassum, age 95 of Pulaski passed away Monday, October 29, 2012 in the Smyth County Community Hospital, Marion, Virginia.
Born April 4, 1917 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late Rufus Daniel Pike and Glenna Poole Pike. Her husband, Robert Conley Wassum; son, James "Jimmy" Stuart; daughter, Kay Baldwin and sister, Faye Akers also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Wassum was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Pulaski. She was a former member of the Pulaski Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and a former member of the Ladies Rebecca Lodge #94, Pulaski, VA.

Step-Daughter- Dorothy Cortner, and husband, Edwin Dayton Cortner-Marion,VA.,
Four Grandchildren, Four Great Grandchildren,
Two Step-Grandchildren, &

Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 A.M. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Hugh Kilgore officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service hour at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
