Homer James "Bus" Lester, Jr., age 84 of 820 Martin Avenue, Pulaski passed away Monday, February 19, 2007 at the Pulaski Community Hospital.
Born January 30, 1923 in Pulaski, Virginia he was the son of the late Homer James Lester, Sr. & Bertha Pagan Lester. His wife, Violet Shalada Lawson Lester and son, Michael Lester, Sr. also preceded him in death. He was a member of the Faith Bible Church, Pulaski. He was retired from the United States Army having served in the 2nd 187 Infantry and the 11th Airborne Division during World War II in the Philippines.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Bobby Osborne officiating. Interment will follow at the Highland Memory Gardens where he will receive full military honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.
