James David "Jimmy" White, Sr., age 74 of Pulaski has gone home to be with the Lord after a long hard-fought battle with COPD. Born August 1, 1935 in Pulaski he was the son of the late Earnest D. & Mary M. White.

Mr. White retired in 1993 as electrician and maintenance supervisor for the Pulaski County School Board. He served in the United States Army and the Virginia Army National Guard for a number of years. He also served as a volunteer captain with 44 years of service for the Pulaski Fire Department and was a life-time member. His last job with help from grandson; Thorne was delivering flowers part-time for a Main Street Flower Shop.
He attended the Pulaski Church of God for many years. His very active life included; State Forest Warden, game hunting, school bus driver and other part-time jobs.

The family wishes to give a special thanks to the doctors, nurses and all the staff at the VA Medical Center for their kindness and care to Jimmy and family during his long illness.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Pulaski Church of God, Bobwhite Blvd. with Pastor Todd Stiffler & Kenny Hancock officiating. Interment will follow at the Thornspring Methodist Church Cemetery.
