James Franklin Moore, age 82 of Barren Springs passed away Thursday, June 19, 2014 in the New River Valley Medical Center.
Born October 8, 1931 in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Samuel Paul Moore and Ethel Suzie LaRue Moore. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Marie Cook Moore; Sister, Margaret Ellen Moore Childress Landreth, and two brothers, George Walter Moore & Albert Donald Moore and Grandson, Jason Arehart.
He was retired from Lynchburg Foundry. He was a veteran of the United States Army and served in the Korean War.

James Anthony "Jimmy" and Susan Moore- Hudson, N.C.,
Douglas Wayne and Melissa Ann Moore- Barren Springs.
Grandchildren-
Missy Moore, Linda Knollmeyer and husband, Clark; Brittany Moore and Chris Miller; and Douglas Moore and wife, Marlee.
Great Grandchildren-
Halynn Oquendo, Adasha Marie Miller, and Zoe Brooke Moore.
Sister- Emma Jean Moore Jones Woodyard- Radford.
Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m., June 22, 2014 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Dale Akers officiating. Interment will follow in the Smith-Lindsey Cemetery, Carroll County.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m.at Bower Funeral Home.
