James William Sheppard age 85 of Alexandria, Virginia and formerly Pulaski passed away, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at the INOVA-Alexandria Hospital -Alexandria, Virginia.

Born October 16, 1930, in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Charles Frank Sheppard and Helen Delp Sheppard. two brothers, Roy H. Sheppard & Clayton K. Sheppard and wife, Bobbie; and five sisters; Gay Lucado, Lala Tracy, Irene Edwards, Lena Sheppard and Nancy Sheppard also preceded her in death.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Pulaski, Friday 11:00 AM – October 21, 2016 with Betty Nuckolls, niece officiating.
