Janie Cook Warden , age 95 of Draper, (Delton Community) passed away Monday, October 3, 2022 at her home. Born September 23, 1927 in Kenbridge, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Dewitt Cook & Magdalene Pace Cook. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Charles Alvin Warden and two children: Patricia Phibbs and infant, Shirley Jean Warden.

Janie retired with over 30 years of service from Jefferson Mills and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy in Delton.

She is survived by her

Daughter - Betty Warden Turman and husband, Dennis Roger Turman - Morganton, NC

Sons - Charles Dean Warden - Draper, David Allen Warden and wife, Nancy Kane Warden - Lexington, NC

6 Grandchildren, 5 Great Grandchildren

Sisters - Minnie Brammer – Richmond, VA, Carrie Smith – Chesterfield, VA

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Bower Funeral Home-Pulaski with Pastor Diane Stanley and Vickie Viars officiating. Interment will follow at the Moore Cemetery (Delton).
