John Kevin Hastings, age 74 of Galax passed away Saturday, June 12,2021 at the NEW River Valley Medical Center. Born December 15,1946 in Streator Ill, he was the son of the late John James Duch and Jayne Ann Gray Duch Hastings. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Andy Koenig.

He retired with 24 years of service as the Chief radioman in the United States Navy and served during the Vietnam conflict. He was with the United States Postal Service with 10 years of service in California.
