Joyce Fortner Murphy , age 88 of Draper passed away peacefully Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Pulaski Health Care Center.
She was born Joyce Agnes Fortner, March 5, 1930 in Asheville, N.C. to the late John and Gladys Pack Fortner. She is also preceded in death by three brothers, Richard "Dick" Fortner, Bill Fortner and Jack Fortner.
Joyce was a medical transcriptionist, but mostly loved being with her family and serving as church pianist and organist for many years.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski
with Rev. Will Shelton officiating. Interment will follow at the Southwest Virginia Veteran's Cemetery, Dublin.
The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour before the service at Bower Funeral Home.
