Justin “Jug” Ryan Barkley, 43, of Max Meadows, Virginia, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

Born on April 11, 1983, in Radford, Virginia, Justin was the son of Robin Jean Havens Barkley and the late Thomas Troy “Tom” Barkley Jr.

Affectionately known as “Jug” to his family and friends, Justin never met a stranger. He had a natural way of making everyone feel welcome, and whether you had known him for years or had just met him, he made you feel like an old friend.

Jug began working for UPS at just 18 years old, dedicating 25 years of his life to the company. Through his years of hard work and dedication, he built not only a career but also many lasting friendships.

Jug shared 18 years of marriage with his wife, Sabrina, who was an important part of his life. Family held a special place in Jug's heart, especially his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. He also had a special love for his three dogs Elroy, Lily and Buford who brought him so much joy and companionship. He will be remembered for the love he shared, the friendships he made, and the countless memories he leaves behind.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sabrina Barkley; his mother, Robin Jean Havens Barkley; his brother, Thomas “Troy” Barkley III; and his beloved nieces and nephews, Emma, Abbie, Jacob, Jackson, Brynlee, and Nicolas. He also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, and coworkers who will forever cherish his memory.

Though his time here far too short, the love and memories Jug leaves behind will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. To know Jug was to have a friend, and to love him was to carry a piece of him with you forever.

The family will receive friends from 5:30-8:00 PM – Friday evening November 6, 2026 at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
