Lee Saunders, age 50 of Belspring received his reward of eternal peace Saturday – June 1, 2013 after a long and couragesly fought battle with brain cancer.
Lee was born August 23, 1962 in Radford, VA and grew up in Hopewell, Virginia where he demonstrated his talents in baseball and football and most importantly his genuine character of friendship.
After graduating in 1980 from Hopewell High School, Lee returned to Radford to attend college and began working for UPS, from which he retired in 2001.
Lee's unwavering love and commitment for his family and friends inspired all who knew him and ignited a legacy of compassion, generosity, unselfishness and bravery. He will be greatly missed by all.
Lee was pre-deceased by his grandfathers; Leonard Lee Albert, Desmond Saunders and Alton Rawlings and uncle; Leonard "Butch" Albert and grandmother; Alice Bishop.
He will be forever cherished by his

A private celebration of Lee's life will be held Saturday, June 8th at 11:00 AM at his home in Belspring.
