Lora Melvin Lyons Thornton, age 71 of Radford passed away Thursday, February17, 2022 at her home.

Born August 12, 1950 in Bland, she was the daughter of the late Harvey Andrew Melvin and Irene Kirby Melvin.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald "Don" Thornton, Son, Roger Douglas Lyons and Brothers, Wally, Donald, and Cecil Melvin.

She was retired from RAAP with 32 years of service.

LaDonna Lee Lyons- Radford

Grandchildren- Kasey (Kylene) McCambridge, Brad Montgomery, Josh (Tiffany)Damron,

Jamey Dalton and Alex Dalton.

Great Grandchildren - Kaden McCambridge, Levi Damron, Sophia Damron andHope Montgomery.

Brothers- Russell (Judy) Melvin- MD. And Harvey Melvin-Dublin

Sister-in-law- Mary Ellen Melvin- Bland

Funeral services will be held Monday 2:00 p.m., February 21, 2022 in the

Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski. with Rev. Darlene Marshall & Rev. Rachel Collins officiating. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time .
