Our precious, beloved mother, Lula Frances Muncy, age 81, a resident of Trinity Mission Rehabilitation Center, Hillsville, Virginia passed away peacefully over to her heavenly home, Wednesday evening, February 18, 2015. She now dwells life eternal with her savior and Lord Jesus Christ.
Born On July 13, 1933 in Bartley, West Virginia, she was the eldest daughter of ten children of the late Roscoe John Estep and Ethel Eleanor Mclaughlin Estep.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jessie James Muncy and two sons, Clinton Bradley Muncy and Curtis Owen Muncy and a number of sisters and brothers.
She was a member of the Dublin Church of God. A mother of nine children whom she loved and encouraged and succeeded in leading them all to a strong saving faith. She was a living example of Christian love and compassion and always helped the needy and reached out to the lonely especially at nursing homes. In her 50's she decided to continue her education and received her G.E.D. and went on to volunteer to help teach others to meet the same goal. She taught a Senior Adult Sunday School class and also she gladly gave time to other organizations like Agency on Aging and the Literacy Reading program. One of her special attributes was that she was a woman of a quiet and humble spirit. She is already sadly missed by all who love her.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Steve(June) Blake of Rich Creek; Lois Muncy of Radford; Mrs. Alvin(Teresa) Neece of Ohio; Mrs. Thomas(Jenette) Phillips of Snowville; Mrs. Jeffery(Shelia)Starbird of Dexter, Maine; Mrs. Robert(Loretta) Vass of Hillsville, and Jessica Muncy of Dublin; & Daughter-in-law-Diane Muncy of Dublin.
Numerous Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren & Great, Great Grandchildren-
Three Brothers, Jackie Estep of Yukon,W.VA; Jessie Estep of Raysal ,WVA; & Raymond Estep of Yukon,WVA & many special friends..
Her Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held Monday 2:00 p.m., February 23, 2015 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Sharon Quesenberry officiating with visitation Monday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
Interment will be at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
