Mack Clayton Thorne, age 71 of Salem and formerly Giles County passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 surrounded by his loved ones.

Born June 7, 1943 in Narrows, he was the son of the late Bascom Thorne and Cleo Perdue Thorne.
He was a 20 year veteran of the United States Army having served three tours in Vietnam.

Six Grandchildren- Tina Collins,Ricky McCroskey,Heather McCroskey,Erica Boone,Brianna Boone, and Jarrod Boone.

Four Great Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 2:00 p.m., October 15, 2014 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Pastor Sean Wilburn officiating.

Burial will follow in the Southwest Virginia Veterans Cemetery, Dublin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until service hour at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
