Madelin Anita Stilwell Marshall , age 92 of Allisonia passed away Monday, October 19, 2020 at her home. Born March 2, 1928 in Draper, Virginia she was the daughter of the late Martin Lewis Stilwell and Dovie Opal Hylton Stilwell. Her son, Gary George Marshall, sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy "Dot" Stilwell (Sanford) Quesenberry also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Marshall owned and operated Marshall's Store in Allisonia for 63 years with her husband of 72 years. She enjoyed visits with friends and family and was a loving neighbor and caregiver to the community. She was a lifelong member of the Farris Mines Christian Church where she taught Sunday School. She also helped with Daily Bread and worked the election polls.

Children - Larry M. (Connie) Marshall – Allisonia, Janice M. (Gene) Holt – Pulaski

Grandchildren - Michial (Wendy) Marshall, Jeff (Paige) Marshall, Karri Queen, Kyle (Summer) Scaggs, Kevin (Michelle) Marshall, Beth (Dewayne) Caldwell and Sara (Pip) Cornish

16 Great Grandchildren, 7 Great, Great Grandchildren

Brother-in-law - Harley Thomas Marshall, Jr. – Charleston, SC

Sister-in-law - Erma Marshall – Pulaski

Numerous nieces and nephews

Graveside funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the Farris Mines Christian Church Cemetery, Allisonia with Dennis Trail officiating.

There will be a "walk through" viewing for Mrs. Marshall in the church from 1:00 PM until service time. The family asks that social distancing be practiced and that masks ARE worn. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Farris Mines Christian Church or the Daily Bread in Pulaski or the charity of your choice.
