How do you say goodbye to someone who has inspired, loved you and been such a precious part of your life – all of your life? You don't …… You live life-fully trusting the Lord as your Savior, just as she desired and prayed for all of your life, so you can see her again one day…It's just a goodbye for now…

Born July 10, 1924, Margaret Marie McGlothlin Jarrells was the daughter of the late Jay & Minnie McGlothlin. One of 14 children, she is preceded in death by all her siblings except for her last sister, Pearl McGlothlin Andrews.

Margaret was married to the love of her life on April 18, 1942 – Leonard William Jarrells.
Truly, they were a beautiful example of what God created marriage to be! They were blessed with and raised 3 wonderful children. She was a wonderful mother to Hedy Marie Jarrells, Leonard "Wayne" Jarrells and Rita Kay Jarrells Hughes Cook. They raised their family at 610 South Jefferson Avenue in Pulaski. This is where Mrs. Jarrells took her last breath, on this side, at the age of 92. She was promised she would never go into a nursing home and through the wonderful care of her daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Thornton Jarrells, her son, Wayne Jarrells and daughter, Rita Cook and the support of the others to help fill in – here and there – the promise was kept!

Margaret Jarrells was a beautiful example of a Proverbs 31 woman! She loved God, loved her family, loved her husband and loved their home! She was lovingly called "Ma" by her 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 5 step great, great grandchildren a total of 35.

Mr. & Mrs. Jarrells attended the First Pentecostal Holiness Church for many years. Ma loved reading God's Word! When she couldn't read her Bible anymore, she would have whoever was with her to read it for her. What an honor and blessing this always was!

Mrs. Jarrells was a wonderful cook & housekeeper. Ma was known for her fried chicken, potato salad, biscuits, and variety of cakes. She truly enjoyed cooking! You never walked into her home without being asked if you would like something to eat or drink. If you were sick, food was delivered to your home, with love and phone calls to see how you were feeling. Ma worked in the cafeteria at the Old Pulaski High School and the now Pulaski Middle School for many years, helping to feed the children of our community.

Ma loved to laugh and was quite the prankster! She made birthdays and Christmas's very special!
She put great thought into her gifts, usually sent humorous cards and called on your birthday, always!
We were made to feel loved, valued and special by our precious mother and Ma! She loved deeply and was loved deeply by her family!

Ma will be missed greatly! Through her love, care and prayers our lives have been made better!
Ma will live within our hearts and minds forever! We truly believe because of the promises in God's Word, the words Ma trusted, believed and drew strength from…Ma suffers no more, heaven is her home and we can see her again if we trust Jesus Christ as our person Savior…. So, it's not goodbye…..it's see you soon, Ma! We love you!

Margaret Jarrells was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Leonard William Jarrells, brothers, Bates, Robert (Bob), Harold and Kelly McGlothlin; sisters, Elizabeth (Sis) Wyrick, Dorcus (Dark) Jarrells, Ada Jarrells, Ruth McGlothlin; two sets of twins, Elieth & Edith, Sarah & Jay and several nieces and nephews.

Ma made it a point, a promise to decorate with flowers, the graves of as many of her and granddaddy's family as she could on Memorial Day weekend. Last year in was 50 plus…a tradition we hope to keep in her honor and memory.

Margaret Marie McGlothlin, age 92 is survived by and will be lovingly missed by her children,
Hedy Viers, Wayne (Mary Ann) Jarrells, Rita (Bobby) Cook, grandchildren, Teresa Saul, Brent (Sheena) Viers, Michelle (Johnny) Quesenberry, Renea (Dewayne) Gallahugh, Tony Jarrells, Randy (Andrea) Jarrells, Scott (Kayla) Hughes, many precious great and great great grandchildren, sister, Pearlie Andrews – Oh and several nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Rev. Danny McGlothlin officiating. Interment will follow at the Appalachian Conference Cemetery, Dublin.
The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday evening at the Funeral Home.
