Margaret Ann Shinault Friend, age 89 of Max Meadows and formerly Pulaski County, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 in the Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski.

Born March 30, 1926 in Pulaski County, she was the daughter of the late William Frank Shinault and Dora Bell Gravley Shinault Akers. Her Husband of 51 years, Malcolm Ray Friend preceded her in death in 2005.

Mrs. Friend was so good to both sides of their families, to all her friends and people she knew. She dropped out of school in the 8th grade to help raise her brother and sisters and later received her GED degree. She was employed by the Max Meadows Elementary School as the cafeteria manager for many years .She was one of the best cooks in the area.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Saturday, January 30, 2016 at the Draper Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Mike Ingo officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
