Marie Dishon Hedge, age 84 of Snowville went home to be with her Savior and Lord on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
Born August 13, 1932 she was the daughter of the late Raleigh & Hattie Dishon.
She was a member of the Cecil's Chapel United Methodist Church. Marie was a mentor and perfect example of the Proverb's 31 – Woman. "She greatly enriched our lives, she was clothed with strength and dignity, she spoke words of wisdom and gave instruction with kindness. Her children stand and call her blessed." Caring for her family was most important to Marie, she spent all of her life caring for everyone and put a smile on everyone's face with her delicious homemade cakes.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Thomas Jefferson Hedge, son, John Hedge and son-in-law, Clarence Bell also preceded her in death.
Marie leaves to cherish her memory, daughter-in-law, Melody Hedge, daughter, Lydia Bell, sons and daughter-in-law's, James Hedge, Douglas (Brigitte) Hedge, Donald (Robbin) Hedge and 11 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, sister-in-law's, Mabel McPeak, Loretta Viers and Pauline Hedge and many nieces and nephews. Also her caregivers, Becky Owens, Salina Smiley, Hilda Bowers, Karen Taylor and Phyllis Bessler.
The caregivers provided excellent care, a loving warm environment and the family is forever appreciative. A very special thank you to the staff at the Good Samaritan Hospice.
A celebration of life will be at Bower Funeral Home Chapel – Pulaski. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 PM – Monday with the funeral service immediately following, officiated by Reverend Todd Triplett with Good Samaritan Hospice.
