Obituary

Mattie Gaynell Skeens Wimmer, age 86 of Fairlawn passed away Monday, August 2, 2010 in the Pulaski Health Care Center.

Born June 3, 1924 in Russell County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jefferson Skeens and Mary Magdaline Fogleman Skeens. She was also preceded in death by her step-mother, Sara Dishner Skeens; one brother, Stanley Skeens, and four Sisters, Bessie Skeens, Florence Skeens Chester, June Skeens Isaacs, and Jean Skeens Owen.

She was retired from RAAP with 38 years of service and was a member of the Dublin Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, 11:00 A.M. at the Dublin Baptist Church with Rev. Dennis Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.
