Mildred Mae Hayes Dalton, age 80 of Dublin died Friday, January 24, 2014 at Lewis Gale Hospital, Pulaski.

She was born August 27, 1933 in Fries, Virginia to the late Willard and Velma Hawks Hayes.

Mildred was a Cub Scout den mother, A Royal Ambassadors leader, a member of the Pulaski County Life Saving crew and a member of the Dublin Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing and crafting.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Howard Dalton; and siblings, Alfred Hayes and Dora Hayes Farmer.

She is survived by
One Sister- Evelyn Hayes Johnson-Thomasville, N.C.

Five children-
Michael Dalton and wife, Mary –Christiansburg,
Sharon Dalton-Dublin
Mary Jane Dalton-Radford,
Debbie Edwards and husband, Roger- Dublin.
Tom Dalton and wife, Darlene-Pulaski.

Eight Grandchildren-
One Step-Granddaughter-
Thirteen Great Grandchildren-
Three Step- Great Grandchildren-
One Great, Great Grandson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 27, 2013 at the Dublin Baptist Church with Pastor Dennis Jones officiating.

Burial will follow at the New Dublin Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Dublin.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
