Obituary

Olivia Ailene "Blackie" Jones, age 72 of 4792 Veterans Hill Road, Pulaski passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 1, 2007 at her home.
Olivia lost her long, courageous battle with lung cancer, with family by her side.
Born January 20, 1935, she was the daughter of Gilbert Jones and Mae Musser Jones in the Crockett Community, Wythe County, Virginia. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Junior (Bessie) Taylor and Mrs. Bill (Catherine) Goodwin and three brothers, Gilbert Jones, Edward Jones, and Walter Jones.
Olivia was a member of the Jordan's Chapel United Methodist Church, Pulaski where she served as custodian for her church as well as its sister church, Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years.
Olivia will be missed by her family, and lots of friends and all who knew her.

And also to cherish her memory are numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a special friend, James Martin.

Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church with Rev. John Grimm officiating. Interment to follow at the Kimberlin Lutheran Church Cemetery, Rural Retreat.
The family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski.
