Rebecca “Sue” Shelton, age 83 of Dublin, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2026 at her home. Born February 11, 1943 in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late William F. Shumaker & Sarah Enola Shouse Shumaker. She was also preceded in death by her husband James Curtis Shelton; grandson Kevin Matthew Sutherland and brother Charles Shumaker.

Sue’s mansion was ready and he came for her on Saturday, October 24, 2026.

She is survived by her Daughter – Barbara (Jody) Martin; Step Grandson – J.D. (Kelly) Martin; Sister & Brother-in-law – Nancy & David Early; Brother & Sister-in-law – Ronnie & Shawn Shumaker; A host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

A Celebration of life will be held at 11:00 AM - Saturday, November 7, 2026 at the Highland Memory Gardens – Mausoleum in Dublin, Virginia. In lieu of flowers, the family asks those to make memorials to a charity of their choice in honor of Sue.
