Robert Preston Dickinson, 86, of Virginia Veterans Care Center, Roanoke, VA and formerly Pulaski died on Sunday, March 27, 2011.

He was born in Newhall, VA. on December 24, 1924 to Clarence H. Dickinson and Helen Williams Dickinson, both deceased.

Mr. Dickinson was a graduate of VPI in Blacksburg, VA. with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He worked for a number of years with Allied Chemical Co. He served in the Armed Forces during the Korean conflict.

He is survived by two cousins, Mrs. Nancy H. Cockman of Winston-Salem, NC. and Mr. William N. Dickinson of Virginia Beach, VA.

Mr. Dickinson's family is very grateful for the excellent care and attention that he received while living at the Virginia Veterans Care Center in Roanoke, VA.
A private family burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin, VA
