Robert Nelson Merritt 88, passed away at his home in Pulaski, Virginia after a long battle with cancer. Robert is survived by his son Jonathan, daughter-in-law Misty, beautiful granddaughters Paisley and Adelyn, nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his parents Nelson and Myrtle, wife Ruthann, and daughter Rebecca. From Forestville NY, Bob (as he was known by everyone) grew up on a farm and eventually became an electrician by trade at GM Tonawanda Forge, also an active member of the legion and moose. Bob was the kind of person that would help out anyone and give you the shirt off his back. Known for his stories, Bob always found a way to entertain the people around him, make them laugh, and spark a ton of interest in whatever he was speaking about. If you had the pleasure of knowing Bob you always walked away with a memory of his stories, witty humor, and overall love he had for his family. Services will be announced at a later date.
