Rod Milton Kegley of Pulaski, Virginia passed away the beginning of February. He was an avid fisherman with many stories to tell,
most of which would end in laughter all around. Like a true fisherman, he may have been guilty of exaggerating a time or two;
but there is one story no one can deny. In 2012, while fishing Claytor Lake he caught the spotted bass that would set a new
Virginia State Record, weighing in at 4 pounds, 7 ounces and measuring 20 inches long. Aside from his children, this was one of
his proudest accomplishments.
His ashes will be spread privately at some of his favorite fishing holes.
A celebration of life is currently being planned and more details will follow.
Until plans are finalized, in true Rod fashion, have drink, cheers to your buddy and share some of your best memories together.
