Obituary

Roy Leonard Coggins, age 59 of 319 Aldengate Drive – Barren Springs, VA passed away Tuesday evening May 29, 2007 at his home.
Born May 29, 1948 in Groveton, Texas he was the son of the late Roy & Mildred Isabelle Palmer Coggins. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth Ray Coggins & sister, June Coggins.
A veteran of the United States Army he served his country during Vietnam and came home to work at the Lorton Prison (Washington, D.C.) as Chief Steward for 28 years before retiring. He was a lifetime member of the V.F.W. Post #1115 ,Hillsville.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the Bower Funeral Chapel, Pulaski with the Chaplain Norman Goad officiating. The V.F.W. Post #1115 will conduct full military honors. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, Franklin County, VA.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Bower Funeral Chapel, 1631 Bobwhite Blvd., Pulaski.
