Ruth Hawks Stockner, age 81 of Christiansburg and formerly Dublin passed away Friday, January 29, 2010 in the New River Valley Medical Center.

Born March 24, 1928 in Fancy Gap, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late James Anderson Hawks and Julia Wilson Hawks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Haywood Stockner, three brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday 3:00 p.m., February 2, 2010 in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Minister Eddie Callahan officiating.

Interment will follow Wednesday 11:00 A.M., February 3, 2010 at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. prior to service time at the funeral home.
Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski is handling the arrangements for the family.
