Obituary

Sanford Lee Quesenberry, age 84, of Allisonia passed away Saturday, August 3, 2013 at Richfield Recovery & Care Center, Salem.

Born January 5, 1929 in Allisonia, Virginia, he was the son of the late Buster Quesenberry and Lockie Ella Marshall Quesenberry.
His wife, Dorothy Irene Stilwell Quesenberry; and sisters, Pauline Q. Sutphin and Mary Sue Q. Goad also preceded him in death.

He was a member of the Farris Mines Christian Church where he served as a deacon and elder.
Mr. Quesenberry was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Korean War.

He is survived by his

Roda R. Quesenberry & Arthur Pickerel – Pulaski,
Denna Quesenberry & husband, Andy Snead – Salem.

Grandchildren-
Lauren & Chelsea Snead.

Sister-
Betty Lou Q. Slone-Dugspur,

Brothers and Sisters-in-law-
Mawyer Hugh & Edith Quesenberry-Allisonia,&
James Edward & Martha Ann Quesenberry-Hillsville.

Brother-in-law and Sister-in-law-
George & Madeline S. Marshall- Allisonia.

Numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday 11:00 A.M., August 7, 2013 at the Farris Mines Christian Church, Allisonia with Rev. Dennis Trail officiating.

Interment will follow in the Farris Mines Church Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Pulaski V.F.W. Post # 1184.

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, August 6, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
