Stanley Eugene Taylor, age 80 of 2506 Julia Simpkins Road, Hiwassee passed away Thursday, June 25, 2009 at the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center.
Born November 2, 1928 in Hiwassee, he was the son of the late Eugene Thomas Taylor and Mary Kemp Taylor.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in World War II. He was a man of many talents- an engineer, an inventor, a farmer and had previously served on the Pulaski County Board of Supervisors. Most of all he was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He was highly a privileged individual, a gentleman and a gentle man who only asked that you strive to do your best. Stanley Taylor was a giant in his family's eyes and hearts. He was our hero.

Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 P.M. in Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Elder Jay Harris and Elder Don Singleton officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with full military honors conducted by the Pulaski V.F.W. Post # 1184. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Bower Funeral Home.
