Threcia Mae "Dot" Stoots Burton Matney , age 89 of Dublin passed away Friday, December 8, 2023 at her home. Born June 26, 1934 in Wythe County, she was the daughter of the late William Arthur Stoots & Eleanor Gertrude (Worrell) Stoots. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Clarence "Nook" Draper Burton and Andrew Nelson Matney, son – Joseph Eugene Burton, brothers – Robert, George, Orel, Dexter Ray and Coy "Bud" Stoots, sisters – Laura Duncan, Hazel Stoots, Mammie Simmerman, Edith Jones, Violet Viars, Dondee Swecker and Mary Bessie Turner.

Dot is survived by her

Daughter – Sherry Burton Moore (Jim) - Dublin

Son – Clarence "Ricky" Burton – Pulaski

Grandchildren – Shannon Peake, Dusty (Lynn) Burton, Cody Burton and Hunter Burton

4 Great Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren

Stepchildren – Karen Lane and Terry (Sherry) Matney

3 Step Grandchildren, 7 Step Great Grandchildren and 4 Step Great-Great Grandchildren

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM – Thursday, December 14, 2023 at the Bower Funeral Home-Chapel, Pulaski with Bishop Randall Lawrence officiating. Interment will follow at Goshen Cemetery (Spur Branch Road).
