Wayne Edward "Ed" Sykes, age 55 of Hiwassee, Virginia passed away Monday, November 24, 2014 at his home.

Born July 11, 1959 in Ronceverte, West Virginia he was the son of the late Lloyd Layton & Margie Walkup Sykes. His brother; Orville Walter Sykes also preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM – Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Hiwassee Pentecostal Holiness Church , Julia Simpkins Road, Hiwassee with Rev. Don Scott & Rev. George Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at the Cox Cemetery (Dugspur, VA).

The family will receive friends Friday from 12:00 noon until service time at the Church.
