Wayne Kern McPeak, age 59 of Owens Road (Snowville Community) passed away Sunday, December 13, 2009 at the UVA Medical Center.
Born October 7, 1950 in Baltimore, MD he was the son of the late Kern Jackson McPeak & Romaine Janet Caldwell Dell. His sister; Toni Lisa Barge also preceded him in death. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served during the Vietnam Era.
He had a love for cars, boats, his Harley Davidson and known for his conservative values and strong opinions. He worked for Volvo Trucks -North America with 19 years of service and was a member of the United Auto Workers Union (Local 2069).

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with the Pastor Dave Holladay of the Floyd Baptist Church officiating. Interment will follow at the Thornspring Cemetery where the V.F.W. Post #1184 will conduct military honors.
In memory of Wayne, the family asks that you bring an outdoor Christmas ornament to decorate the tree in remembrance of him.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the Bower Funeral Home, Pulaski.
