William Gray " Bill" Warden, age 73 of 4481 Brookmont Road, Pulaski passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the Lewis Gale-Pulaski Hospital.
Born November 20, 1937 in Pulaski County, he was the son of the late James Grayson Warden and Lavy Gray Warden.
During his teen years, he delivered papers for the Southwest Times on Brookmont Road and during his early 20's, he worked for Burlington Industries and later his father in the painting business.
He was in the Army National Guard for many years and was a member of the American Legion Post #7. He was a member of the former Seagle and Brookmont Presbyterian Churches and later attended Pulaski Christian Church.
He is survived by his children:
Karen Gray Warden and fiancé, Charlie "Jack" Turner-Pulaski,
William Steven Warden- Pulaski,
One Grandchild- Bradley Asher Almarode,
Sister- Peggy Warden Boardwine and husband, Sam Boardwine- Pulaski,
Brother- Jimmy Warden and wife, Faye-Stokes County, N.C.,
Several nieces and nephews and family members.
Funeral services will be held Sunday 2:00 p.m. in the Bower Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski with Bishop David Hoover officiating.
Interment will follow in Ray Cemetery, Pulaski Co.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until service hour at 2:00 p.m. at Bower Funeral Home.
