Obituary

My beloved mother, Willie Byrd David, age 93 of 303 West Main Street, Radford died
on Tuesday, October 17, 2006 at New River Valley Medical Center.
Born May 28, 1913 in Lee County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Byrd Howard and Ella Collier Howard. Her husband, Elmo David, three sisters and one brother, also preceded her in death.
For 30 years, she was a member of the First Christian Church in Pulaski where she served as an elder and Sunday School Teacher. When she moved to Radford, she became a member of the First Christian Church in Radford. She was retired from the C & P Telephone Company (now Verizon) where she worked for 33 years. For many years, Byrd was an active volunteer for the American Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday 11:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church, Pulaski with Rev. Dr. Gina Rhea and Rev. Christine Reisman officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bower Funeral Chapel,1631 Bob White Blvd.,Pulaski
