Dana Bower Rygas is the second-generation owner and licensed manager of Bower Funeral Chapels in Pulaski, Virginia with a branch in Dublin, Virginia. She graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Marketing and Accounting. Dana also received an Associate degree in Funeral Service Education in 2002 from Fayetteville Community College in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Many of their classes were offered as distant learning education classes. She is a past President with the Blue Ridge District Funeral Director’s Association and has also served on the State Education and Credentials Committees for the Virginia Funeral Director’s Association,Richmond, Virginia. Dana and her husband Alex have three sons, Spencer, Aaron and Adrian. Her late parents, who were both funeral directors, Mark and Helen Via Bower purchased the former Strickler’s Funeral Homes in 1970.

Aaron Christopher Rygas is a 1998 of graduate of Gupton-Jones Mortuary School and a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He is now representing the third generation in the family owned funeral homes.
He graduated from Pulaski County High School and also attended the Virginia Military Institute.
